Happy 2017 everyone! To kick off the new year, I headed down the coast with one of my best mates of all time. It was quite a spontaneous trip but definitely one that we both needed. We left a few days after new years, stopping briefly near Stanwell Tops and Sea Cliff Bridge on the drive down.
Once we checked in to our Airbnb, we headed down the highway a little further until we reached Gerroa. Just in time to catch some waves and enjoy the afternoon sunshine.
Having never been to Kiama before, we made sure to swing by the blowhole and check it out. It was quite windy when we went and the sea spray looked awesome against the rocks.
Out Airbnb hosts Margaret & Tony were kind enough to lend us their kayak for an afternoon. They did say it was a one-man kayak but hey, we both squeezed in (and didn't capsize)!
Exploring the tracks and beaches in Killalea State Park.
We spent our last night in Kiama exploring the rocks and surrounding areas of Bombo Quarry. This is a fantastic location for a spot of night photography if you're an avid shutterbug like me.
Stay tuned for a compilation of all our waterfall-chasing adventures...
